The words ‘personal branding’ are becoming more and more commonplace these days. It’s a new catchphrase that describes who you are, what you do and why you do it! In today’s world of online business, social media and digital everything, more and more entrepreneurs and influencers are realizing they need personalized, quality content to attract viewers and clients. How can you compete with beautifully curated Instagram posts, websites and selling platforms with only cell phone photography? You can’t, at least not in a way that will attract your ideal clients and keep them coming back for more.
You want to make an impact!
The best way to to this is to create an emotional connection with your audience. The more your clients understand you and what makes you tick, the more likely they are to want to choose the services and products you are selling.
Connection through story telling.
What is personal brand story telling? This is everything in your life that your audience might find interesting and connect with. You might not think people care who you are or what goes on behind the scenes, but actually it’s just the opposite.
How do we tell your story? Not by taking just another head shot. The days of having the same head shot as everyone else is over, you know the one’s I mean? Plain background, dress or suit jacket, white collar, arms crossed, forced smile. People want to see you in your environment, with your family, showing your hobbies, what inspires you. Are you involved with the community? What’s the stock room in your biz look like? Who are your favourite clients? (show em some love). You are multi-layered and Starbrand photography helps you peel back those layers to show your authentic self.
So what’s the process?
Not every personal brand photographer will do things the same way. If you are just going in for some headshots behind your desk with a cup of coffee, sure that will look great, but to get to the heart of your brand your photographer needs to offer more.
Here at Star Brand, I send you a discovery questionnaire to get to know a little bit about you first. Then we schedule an in-depth strategy and planning session. If your photographer is just showing up the day of, you will likely not be prepared and miss out on vital details that add value to your storytelling.
We choose a minimum of 3 story segments, anything you want to express to your clients. Maybe you are a life coach that teaches healthy living strategies, so you’ll want to show what you do behind the scenes such as healthy eating, or yoga. You will want to do a segment on you, interacting with your clients or maybe with your family. The possiblilities are endless.
After our planning session and we know what we will be photographing, I make sure to get enough variety from wardrobe changes, locations and scenarios we have chosen together to make you enough content to last for 3 months! Yup, you will have a fresh photo to post every day of the week for 3 months if you choose to do so.
Memberships
Starbrand offers their clients an annual membership. This allows me to work with you 4 times (and possibly more) per year, so fresh, relevent content for every season (yay)! The benefit of working with the same photographer over the course of a year (and hopefully years), is that we get to know each other on a deep level that fosters trust.
I get to know your brand inside and out, we share similar values, and you are not nervous around the camera anymore. I can’t begin to express the value in this. Imagine not feeling intimidated by a strange photographer with a camera in your face? I will become a part of your team, but without the added costs of hiring a part-time employee. Your personal photographer, how great is that?
Of course if you are not looking to work with me on a membership basis, that’s fine too. I have one time packages and even a mini trial package. If you decide you love the service, great, we can just roll that one off shoot into a membership!
You are a smart, savvy entrepreneur who wants their time back. You want to keep investing in your business the right way. You are still building, but you know your brand and what it takes to keep reeling in those customers and attracting your audience. You’ve got this, and I’ve got you.
