I get lots of questions! Here are the most common.

How do I get photo ready for my session?

We will go over all of this in your consultation. We can discuss choices for hair and makeup, and wardrobe choices based on the stories we will tell for your brand. Often, most of what you already have in your closet will do!

I’ve been shooting Brand Photography in Ottawa for years and I have contacts and connections to help you prep from makeup to hair to wardrobe, props – and everything in between.

I'm nervous in front of a camera. Help!
After photographing people for over a decade, I hear this nearly every time I pull out my camera. People often don’t like the way they look in pictures, but they are usually not working with a professional either. We will address your issues, learn what your assets and perceived flaws may be and work around those. We will get to know each other and you will start to relax and feel comfortable with me and my camera. You will be a star, so don’t worry too much about this. Trust the process.
How long is a photo shoot?
The Half Day Experience is up to 4 hours, Mini Sessions are up to 2 hours and Express Sessions are 1 hour.

Understanding that you are busy, I try to do these sessions as quickly and efficiently as possible. It all depends on the story we are trying to tell and how many locations and wardrobe changes are included. Also, if you are getting your hair and make-up done, you will need to schedule that at least an hour before we start shooting.

Can others join me?
Yes! I encourage you to have a family member or friend to help with behind-the-scenes prep. For example, if you are a food blogger or chef and need some food prepped for the shoot, they could help set that up, or they can make sure your next outfit is accessible and ready to go with all the accessories. Also if you want to have your family in some of the shots, a friend or a client, we will know that ahead of time and plan out that story. Please note: Anyone who you choose to have in your photos will have to sign a model release form.
Can I use these photos however I want?
For the most part – yes. The big difference with the personal brand photography I offer compared to others is you receive a commercial license. This allows you not only to use the photos for your social media and website, but also you may alter them if desired, edit if desired, and use to promote your products without crediting me or having watermarks on your images. There are a few restrictions such as not being able to use them in a salacious manner, but we will go over all of that in the legal contract.
I hear you offer memberships for exisiting clients?

Yup! Insider Memberships are available for existing clients at amazing monthly rates. Contact me for details and to become an Insider.
